Product Details

Have you ever struggled to deal with distress or cope with overwhelming emotions or situations? Understanding your Subjective Units of Distress (SUDs) and learning effective coping skills can make a big difference in how you manage these challenges.

The distress tolerance skills you engage in will depend on what level your Subjective Units of Distress (SUDs) is. Having an awareness of your SUDS as they rise will allow you to engage in early intervention. If you miss that opportunity, then you will need crisis skills. Following that, there is often an experience of an emotional hangover which requires additional skills whilst the residual distress dissipates and you return to baseline.

This handout helps you plan which skills to use and when to use them. We've also included an example handout to provide guidance on how to apply these skills effectively in various situations.

Download the ‘SUDs and Skills’ handout today to enhance your coping skills and navigate life's challenges with ease.
