This 68-page Schema Therapy guide, available in PDF format, consists of a complete set of worksheets providing an overview of the 20 revised maladaptive schemas and the 14 adaptive schemas. It helps both clinicians and clients gain a deeper understanding of how these schemas operate.
Each maladaptive schema includes examples of coping responses (overcompensate, avoid or surrender) to illustrate the different presentations of schema activation. In addition, each adaptive schema lists its maladaptive counterpart and identifies the skill needed to strengthen the adaptive schema to overcome its unhelpful beliefs.
